What is SDL?
- SDL is a development league for young soccer players that was begun in the fall of 2002
- The SDL is registered with US Club Soccer, a member of the United States Soccer Federation
- Ages range from U7 through U10
- Registration is by team – refer to Coach/Manager for more information on how to register
- Refer to About SDL and About DYSP for more information
Who participates?
- The majority of select clubs with young academy programs participate in SDL as well as independent teams
- A list of club academy programs can be found under Find An Academy
Where are games played?
- SDL U10 and U9 games are played at Andromeda, Blue Sky and Ross Stewart fields
- SDL U8 and U7 games are played at Andromeda, Blue Sky and Texas Football Club fields
- Refer to Fields for specific directions and field conditions
When are games played?
- SDL U10 and U9 games are played on Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. and ending by 8 p.m.
- SDL U8 and U7 games are played on Sunday afternoon beginning no earlier than 11 a.m
Can teams request specific locations or times?
- SDL's first priority is to ensure that each coach is able to be present at their SDL game(s)
- Teams should not sign-up if they are doing so with the expectation that their games will be at any one particular location
- Requests for afternoon or morning play will be considered within the constraints of the first priority
